This is a great series. Love the way they envolve 'stars' and celebs. Really funny characters. Great!

Great TV programme. Ricky Gervais is brilliant as Andy Millman but its the guest appearances that are hilarious! Kate Winslet telling Maggie how to talk dirty on the phone, Patrick Stewart's conversation with Andy about naked women and Les Dennis fed up with doing panto are all hysterical! Stephen Merchant as Andy's completely useless agent also steals the show. Brilliant DVD! Already looking to buy series 2!

Having watched Extras on TV with Ricky Gervais, I found the opportunity to watch back to back episodes too much to resist. The first series in its entirety is both funny, awkward and cleverly put together. With the reknowned Les Dennis sketch, which still makes me laugh, and the fact he can still look back at his life and joke about it, gives it a touch of sincerity, and that however low you feel, there is always a light at the end of the tunnel. Kate Winslet, who I have to admit to a crush on, is funny, with the whole gang acting their roles to there hilarious best. All in all this is a much watch DVD, and if you get the opportunity to spend an evening with a glass of wine and a couple of hours to spare, I strongly recommend this series DVD. The deleted scenes and bloopers is also good fun and finishes off the whole experience perfectly.

I loved the Office - but was a tad sceptical about this until I watched the DVD. Gervais and Asley Jensen as Maggie are brilliant, but it's the cameos, especially Kate Winslet and the 'naughty phone call' that made this for me. Great Stuff - Cant wait to see the second series. Recommended !!

This award winning comedy follows the life of Andy Millman, played by Ricky Gervais, as an "Extra" for TV shows and films. Each episode follows the production of a different show/film and the hilarious situations Millman manages to get himself in to and the utter incompetence of his agent played by Stephen Merchant. As well as all this each episode stars major celebrates playing themeless but each shown having a extreme over the top personality, there's the hard-man Vinnie Jones, Kate Winslet crazy about phone sex and possibly my favorite in the first series is Patrick Stewart obsessed with witting scripts where people end up naked!

Altogether it is a fantastic must own DVD and will provide hours of laughter for you and all who watch with you.

Having loved The Office I was a bit doubtful that this would live up to Ricky Gervais' last programme but this is brilliant. My favourite episode is the one with Ross Kemp and Vinnie Jones. I probably slightly prefered this series to the second one where Andy Millman (Gervais) finally makes it as an actor in his own show. If you liked The Office you will love this so definately worth purchasing.

This DVD contains 'all' 6 episodes of the first series of extras. Each episode has a different star guest. I found it hilarious and have since bought series 2 (which wasn't as good). The only downside is that there is only six episodes in the series. Great DVD, worth watching!

Extras was always going to be compared with The Office. However, this is very different, the humor in Extras comes from Ricky Gervais' character Andy's frustration at being an extra on various film sets, fame has for the time being eluded him.

The reason I bought this was because I had missed the original showing on TV and alot of my friends were raving about it. I have to say that it is testament to Ricky Gervais' popularity that the amount of sometimes A list stars falling over themselves to be totally sent up my messrs Gervais and Merchant is incredible.

The action can be really uncomfortable at times but this is well worth the money, it is a classic and the source of many "water cooler" conversations in my office.

Wanted to buy this after watching the recent 2nd series and enjoyed it so much. After watching this DVD, I must say that I found this series as funny as the second one. I have also recently bought the second series off eBay.
A must for any dvd collection, Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant are so funny with their brilliant timing. You just have to watch The Office to see how good they both are!!

If you like ricky you'll love this. His run of bad luck continues from the office. The stars in the show are brillient. Ross Kemp and Les Dennis are so funny.

This is a great double DVD, coming from the Office I wasn't sure how this was going to work. But the doubt was soon over with the witty comments and great characters used through out the 6 episodes.

I love the quote 'Super....Army.....Soldier...(serious look of Ross Kemp). Great stuff.

Equally as funny as The Office, though good to see stars getting into the spirit of things. I would say if you have not seen it, get it bought, you will be laughing for a long time, the scenes are just brill, nearly as funny as The Office eposide, at Christmas where Gareth is seen to leave in a sidecar after chatting up a female and her fella!!! I had missed the first series and after watching the second and thoroughly enjoying it I decided to catch up ansd see what I missed. I was not disappointed, this was brilliant. It also included outtakes and a very funny excerpt of Ricky trying to replace Jude Law with Leo Dicaprio! If you are a fan of Ricky Gervais then I would highly recommend this.

I am a massive fan of Ricky Gervais and was hoping for the Extras DVD for Christmas. To my disappointment, I did not get it so thought I would treat myself. The first place I thought of buying it from was Ebay, as I had great buys just before Christmas and knew I could get a bargain. I was right. I got the Extras DVD for around £6 and it was money well spent. The service given by the seller was good - great communication about the product, good price and a fast delivery. When I watched it I knew I had got a bargain. It is so funny and I know I'll be watching it again and again. Good value for £6. There is nothing I disliked about this buy and I gave the seller some great feedback. Love Ebay!

Another great series from the team that bought us 'The Office'. Ricky Gervais is once again superb and the cameos from a host of celebrities are all brilliant also. I found this series to be much subtler than the office and for that fact it might not have the mass appeal that the office did. It took a couple of watches to grow on me, but now it's one of my favourite shows and I'm looking forward to the next series later this year.

The extras on the DVD are great as well. You have the usual things, outtakes (which are brilliant), deleted scenes (also great), and a couple of random videos mainly of Ricky Gervais being hilarious. All worthwhile.
