I HAVEN'T SEEN THIS FILM BUT I ENJOY WATCHING ORLANDO. BUYING OFF OF EBAY MEANS I CAN AFFORD TO BUY THE FILM EVEN IF IT TURNS OUT NOT VERY GOOD, BUT I AM SURE IT WILL BE AS THE ACTORS IN THIS ARE GREAT.
I loved watching this film it brought back painful memories of 15months ago when my father died and all the things we said we would do but never got around to completing them all. I really enjoyed the Good Feel Factor that the film gave to me the viewer giving you back your rememberance of someone with affection, anger, regret and love. I still miss my Dad, but life moves on and the living keep on living around you going about their daily lives as normal.
Big thumbs up for cast and crew on this turns adversity to triumph and laughter - which if anybody has suffered a loss needs soooooo desperately. Again THANKS for making a brilliant film.
I first saw this on Sky Movies, a random pick out of curiosity simply because I like the two lead stars. What a surprise!! A slow starter, this slightly wierd movie draws you in to a strange tale of love and family, which I found utterly compelling. In the end, it's a feel good movie, but the journey there is not the usual sugar coated predictable fluff. Dunst's kooky stewardess complements Bloom's disorientated and depressed shoe designer, and the people of Elizabethtown provide a wierd and wonderful background to their hesitant romance. I loved it - one of the best films I've seen. It's no boy toy film, but if you don't mind a bit of emotion then watch it. A chick flick? This is so much better than that!
This was one of those films which I'd seen previewed before other films at the cinema but never actually got round to seeing. I brought it because of the price, it was just as cheap as if I'd rented it, but I must admit to being quite disappointed once I'd seen the film. It was unfortunately one of those films which if you've seen the trailer you've probably seen the best parts of the film.
However, it's a nice 'chic flick' which has a lovely feel good ending, it's just that you'd probably be better off if you've never seen a trailer.
I bought this dvd because reading the write up sounded good. Really enjoyed the film. Anybody who likes country music will love the sound track. The extras on the film could have been better , but still a very good film.
