  DYSON CR01

I decided to buy the CR01, despite the bad press on this machine, primarily because of Dyson's committment to after sales service. Once serviced by themsleves [£85], they state that they'll stand by the machine and ensure that it functions properly! Without Dyson's after sales service and ongoing product support, I wouldn't have bought the CR01, new or second hand. I like the machine's deisgn: it looks like a concept model, something a design student would put together, but would never reach the production stage. I have yet to actually have the CR01 plumbed in, due to building work, so I don't know if this example works yet, however I have Dyson's assurance that they'll service it and get it working if it doesn't, so I know it will do what it should, at the end of the day!

  WOW.. What a machine

I bought this machine faulty, as I have always been intruigued as to how space age they look, and knowing what excellent customer service they have, and again I haven't been disappointed! We knew the drum bearings had gone, and when the man from dyson came he stated that the machine was around 4 years old and had done 3600+ washes, that's 18 wash cycles a week for 4 years (no wonder the bearings had gone!) On top of this the motors had gone, and the actuator, and the element, and the pump, it was more or less a new machine when he had finished with it, and I am sad to say I actually sat on the kitchen floor when it was repaired and watched the wash cycle with amazement, and was mesmerised with the contrarotator system, fascinating!!!
Top and bottom of it is a superb machine with impeccable customer service, I will never buy another machine, I don't think we will have to, it washes a cart load of washing in around 40 minutes, it's really quiet, well made, some bits can be a bit fragile, but Dyson are brilliant, and will look after you. DO NOT HESITATE BUYING ONE!!! EVEN IF FAULTY, YOU'LL NEVER LOOK BACK AND REGRET IT, the guys from Dyson are brilliant.
Clean carpets, and clean laundry, thanks James Dyson (what a brainbox!!!)

  Dyson washing machine
Review created: 13/04/08

I had been wanting a dyson washing machine ever since they were first adverstised.
Mainly because they are A rated and have a massive drum but at about a £1,000 were well out of my way. I found mine on ebay and paid £85 for it as a spares or repair. I plumbed it in and it made the most horrible noise and anyhow only lasted a week. Browsing for parts I tried the dyson site and they have a service charge for repairs. I phoned them up because I thought it was just for the original owners. They registered it in my name and I made an appointment for the engineer to come out. He replaced seven parts, two of the main ones the drum and circuit board would of cost over £400 just by themselves. All repaired and all new parts guaranteed for a year with a total cost of just £95 and a brilliant washer into the bargain. Very pleased with it. Be warned though if lifting in and out of anywhere it is extremely heavy. It has a handle though so you can pull it along. Because the drum is bigger it juts out from the worktop a bit but that does not bother me.

Beware of buying non working machines. Dyson is clamping down on the, ebay craze of buy and get them to spend a fortune on your new machine.it`s £95 now. £250 if you need a tub. I didn`t need a tub. but they insisted i did. so wouldn`t repair it unless a new tub was fitted.I`m in the trade, so knew it didn`t need one.
they are good machines when they work though.
