Damage (DVD 2003)

A superb line-up of talented people tell an exquisitely erotic story of love and betrayal. This is a very intelligent and sophisticated (so NOT run of the mill) story which focus's mainly on the act of infidelity and the ensuing pain, until the final tragedy strikes. The ending is an understandable conclusion to such passion and jealousy but remains totally unpredictable, until, POW! There it is, the crunch! I have watched this movie several times in absolute awe of terrific performances, especially that of Jeremy Irons. Juliette Binoche is sensuous and extraordinarily beautiful in this film, however, her role in the English Patient bares out the fact that she is a naturally stunning woman. It is an impeccable production and one that I will definitely be 'wearing out', not leaving it to gather dust or be resold on eBay.
