Crossroads the Clapton retrospective

This is the collection which any fan of Clapton should be desperate to own.
From the early masterworks with John Mayalls Bluesbreakers and The Yardbirds, Blind Faith, Derek and the Dominoes to the acid fuelled flights of Cream to the country rock roots of 'Wonderful Tonight'.
All of this guitar genius is on display and its a tour-de-force for anyone with the slightest weakness for the 'Axe'
from the reggae lilt of Bob Marleys 'I Shot the Sheriff'to the seminal 'Strange Brew'to the most famous guitar riff of all, 'Layla' it's all here.
4 cds crammed full of blues and rock and musicianship of the highest order.
Whats not to admire?
I saw it and had to have it and for 23.00 inc p&p I almost feel guilty.
With the original picture discs and a presentation hardback book full of notes and credits and a chronological list of songs this is the best example of a career retrospective that I have come across.

Eric Clapton 4 CD Box SetThis four CD set does a great job of gathering 25years of music by Eric Clapton, up to 1988.
There are some great classic tracks and also previously unreleased alternate studio recordings.
This set may not include everything from that period that you maybe would include yourself, but there’s a lot of great songs.
This is an excellent box set of Eric’s early career.
