Charlie's Angels (DVD 2002)

As soon as this one started I knew I was in for a treat! The title sequence being very true to the seventies original and almost up to ‘Bond’ standard. If you think Bond is ‘far fetched’ you can forget this though as it really is pure unadulterated fantasy! Boy oh Boy is this role reversal, as we know it! Laptops, mobile phones and women (girls) that can look after themselves and still rate men as high as ever.

It doesn’t try not to be corny but I must admit I was too stimulated to actually laugh at any intended humour. Shame the fight sequences were more ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer’ style than the seventies Bruce Lee stuff- but the music was well selected. I didn’t really care but I would put money on the director of this one being male. That said its pure girl power and a half and I love today for it!
