Having already owned a range of Casio cameras that give a real quality build and practical usability i now wanted to upgrade to the middle generation Casio extra slim cameras and advance to optical zoom and a larger viewing screen. All this came in the Ex-Z500. The very large screen fills tha back of the camera giving plenty of space in the bright lcd screen to frame your picture and have a good preview of how it will turn out. The simple controls fall easy to hand, the 3x optical zoom keeps picture quality good when taking telephoto pictures and the new generation larger capacity battery does a fair job of holding its charge. The video recording includes sound and is only limited by your memory card size. The best feature of the EX-Z500 for me is the way Casio have produced a really small pocket sized camera but still managed to retain the large veiwing screen and true optical zoom lense all in a credit card sized really light pocket camera.
its a fantastic little camera, you can fit it into your handbag or a shirt pocket. it is very easy to use and gives brilliant clear pictures. the software is straight forward to download into your computer. very pleased with the whole package and i definately recommend it .
Camera is excellent. It took 3 weeks to arrive and communication could have been a little better but overall very, very good. Love using camers I bought it for its size, its reputation of make and its price. With imptoved communcation would use again and possibly recommend to others.
Bought this camera for my teenage daughter who had been bugging me for ages for one, so I wanted something that was (a) good value (b) had a decent range of features (c) was easy to use (d) strudy and (e) looked good. This camera fulfills all the above and my daughter is thrilled with it, and the quality of the photos it takes are fine, and can be blown up to close to A4 size before you notice the quality dropping significantly. The only downside is that, although the camera has a huge lcd screen, Casio have decided to dispense with a viewfinder (which I didn't realise until the camera arrived) so in bright direct sunlight that may be a problem. A good choice for inexpert photographers.
