Casio Exilim EX-S880 Digital Camera

When deciding to buy something technical like a camera for instance, I find it so daunting. The choice is staggering and each one has its own features which are so specific my brain just seizes up and my eyes glaze over at all the details I am supposed to read and understand, immpossible!
Then I came across this little Casio camera, and typically female it was the colour that attracted me first, a lovely bright red, then I proceded read the instuctions and thought this can't be it. It was so simple and straightforward that even I could understand it. It has all the usual features one expects in a camera these days but none of the complicated unecessary features someone like me will never use. All I want to do is take a nice clear photo that I won't be ashamed to show off and this little marvel allows me to do just that. It's light, compact, easy to handle and dare I say a pleasure to use, all the features on it are ones I will use and the easy to read on screen instuctions are self explanatory. This little gem has cured my techno phobia.

First time buying such an item which left me wary of buying a 'refurbished' product. Upon reciept however my confidence was restored. Excellant camera at and excelant price. Casio cameras should not be seen as inferior to kodak and canon, infact i found the casio exilim to be superior in many ways. easy to use with tons of options. very much recommended. the only negitive i could contribute is the need for a docking station. It may just be me, but i see them as additional, pointless pieces of equipment..whats wrong with a simple lead connecting camera to computer or charger, hardly a major complaint though??

such a good product very slim and good looking prob the best on the market at the moment, the picture it takes is even better there are so many settings i cant use them all the only thing that i would say is to get a silver one.i have the red one and it does make easily apart from that 5 star

I purchased this Red Casio Exilim S880 camera for my wife a few weeks ago on ebay and we have already taken 250 pictures and 10 videos with it and I can only describe it as amazing. Slim, neat and Simplicity of use is a big plus and the battery life is very good also, it has a lot of good features including a simple to use best shot mode and a large bright LCD screen. A lot of the pictures were taken on holiday with a lot of snow around which makes it difficult for a camera to auto adjust but the pictures were just perfect. The videos we took were varied both being inside with not a lot of light and also of snow scenes and events outside and they were amazing, I have a fairly recent digital camcorder but I would put the Casio S880 equally as good if not slightly better in low light. I used the playback slideshow function through the television and it adds music to the slideshow (5 different choices) and when it came to a video it automatically played it without any intervention from myself at all and was the full of a 37" screen. As regards faults I couldn't say I have any other than to mention that with the camera being so slim and neat useing the wrist strap is recommended but the wrist strap is a little to short for a my wrist as would be for a lot of other people also. All in all for a compact I would highly recommend it.

Great camera nice and slim, take anywhere slip into pocket design. screen one of the best i have seen (Casio make their own) and 2.8" so big too. menus good, exposure pretty good, little under exposed indoors with flash but flash is small, i am used to SLR's. would recomend as it is so slim and sexy and it takes great pictures

First of all the reason i bought this camera was because my existing camera was recently broken. So far the only things i have found that i have a slight dislike of is that when in video mode there is no flash light available and so it is totally dependent on a good light source. Also i found that when you set the camera to show time and date on the pictures the digital zoom function is no longer available until you switch of the time and date again. Apart from that the camera is just as i had expected after reading the reviews on it. It has many of the normal functions which i was looking for and even a few added extras which was a bonus, face recognition, best shot etc.

I have an older Casio Exilim camera and never had any problems with it, just found the screen to be a little small. The EX-S880 has a bigger screen. The Ex-S880 is a nice slim camera that does not weigh too much and is better than the previous model as the battery is rechargeable instead of eating the 'AA' batteries. My old camera is 6mp and the new one is 8.1 mp.

I wanted two very slim pocketable cameras for my sons aged 18 and 13 for Xmas. These at 17mm are the slimmest on the market, and I liked the idea of the quick link to Youtube as they use that a lot. They arrived quickly without fuss and are excellent. The docking station is great, and the cameras work well, taking huge pictures quickly and accurately.

The flash on auto mode is too strong so that was reduced down by 20% in the easy to use menus, and now the cameras take great pics indoors. We havent bothered setting up the family face tracking as that seems unnecessary. the battery life is superb, but a spare would be nice so you have one on charge.

All in all, a great little camera at a great price!
