This is a good general purpose digital camera. I like to have an optical viewfinder for sunny days when a screen is hard to see. Most "pocket size" cameras in the shops no longer have this. I have had Casio cameras before and they seem reliable - so I felt confident buying a used model in good condition.
This is a fantastic little camera that can do virtually anything you would expect from a top spec model. I already have this camera but seem to have 'lost it' to my daughter, who takes it everywhere with her. Decided to buy this so that i could actually use it myself. My original one has never given any problems and i am confident that this one will be as reliable. Looking forward to making use of this on my hols and knowing i can print up to A3 size when using the highest resolution setting appeals to me.We already have some stunning pictures, taken using this camera during a previous holiday to Cuba, that we have had enlarged and printed without loosing any of the quality. What more can i say except, go and buy one and try it out for yourself.
I love this camera it is so easy to use and more compact with more facilities than my last digital camera. My partner uses it lots when she is over visiting her family and we download lots of pics to our PC. I thought my last camera a FUJI was good but this Casio beats it hands down I am very pleased to have made this purchase and looking forward to taking it on Vacation with us next month first class product and highly recommend anyone to buy it.
I wanted a cost effective digital camera mostly for taking photo's for items to sell on ebay. I set myself a budget of £100 then did a search on ebay. The Casio Z850 came up at the right price and had good reviews so I bid and got one.
I must say I am extremely impressed by this little camera. The preset scene settings (including one for ebay)for both stills and movies are great. The large screen is also very useful, its amazing the clarity using the zoom feature. Another good point is the rechargeable battery which seems to have a very large capacity. A couple of minor niggles are being small you need to be careful how you hold it without obstructing the lens. also the camera needs its docking station for charging and transferring images to a PC or TV. These are however as I said earlier just minor niggles. One last point you need an SD card for storage the in built memory holds next to nothing. I purchased a 1Gb SD card which seems more than adequate.

For me a viewfinder is a must, for those very sunny times when a screen is hard to see.The screen though, is large and very clear. The metal body gives the camera a feel of quality, as do the switches. Its menu system is easy to navigate with quick access to frequently needed changes like multi shot and pixel resolution. Soft and high power flash are useful as is anti-shake. 8M-pixels seems overkill for an average person like me but it allows use of some digital magnification(x 8 max.)as well as optical(x 3)without too much quality loss. A neat sized body makes it a convenient pocket sized item and the cradle which accompanied mine is very handy when downloading or just viewing. The battery seems to hold its charge for a long period, which is just as well as it is not the type that you could obtain a spare cheaply.(charging is performed using the cradle) All in all, an excellent camera, with a lot of functions, although reliability over a long period has yet to be established.
I am by no means a camera expert so this camera suits me down to the ground. I've only had the camera 1 month so not done much photography but I am off to Florida next week so I'm sure I will put it to good use then. I had a Sony digital point and shoot camera before this one and thought it was about time I upgraded to a more complex bit of kit. This camera is ideal for an armature like my self or a more proficient photographer. Turn it on and use the best shot option and off you go.............. So far I give this a 10 out of 10 for looks, build quality and ease of use I love it. You will definitely not be disappointed when buying this camera - go on and treat your self.
It is a well-made camera with a solid feel to it. It works very quickly and without temperament. All features there plus a viewfinder. The deal at the E Bay dealer was terrific - about half the cost of exactly the same thing at Argos! Transaction and delivery fast. I have nothing but praise for it and my friends (who know more about these things) reckon I did very well. I would certainly use the process again.
