Based entirely on a true story, Casino recounts the dying days of the Mafia's stranglehold on the Las Vegas strip. Two men are given the job to protect the mob's financial interest (the skim) at all costs. But a power struggle ensues between the two and as one of them spirals out of control, the other has to watch as their dream is dismantled piece by piece.

The performances are riveting all round here but a special mention to Sharon Stone as Ginger, who's decent into alcholism is played to perfection. Joe Pesci is equally mesmerising as the terrifyingly explosive Nicky. The music and costumes weld into the film and give it a gloriously nostalgic feel that sharpens the authenitsm of the time. The late Saul Bass did the title design and adds it to his impressive reptotoire including Psycho.

I bought this movie coz i luv THE MAFIA. It has a lot of twists and turns..trademark SCORSESE.U WONT BE DISAPPOINTED!!!

Very good film! Brought it as it had been recommened to me by a friend. Benn watchin alot of gangsta/crime films lately. Hard to follow at first, alot of voice overs through out! But a must see!

I brought the film as I used to own it on VHS, but no longer had a VCR, love the film, had to buy it.

this is an excellent film you are hooked from the begining to the end sharon stone plays an excellent part and in my eyes one of robert de niro's best roles if like me you enjoy gangster films this is the one to watch good cast plenty of action and a good story i was waiting to uy this film for ages and finally i got to buy it i watch it probably once a week i cant get enough of it and never get bored..........excellent.........

fab action packed movie. very violent and quite scarily believable. Deniro is at his usual excellent and Sharon Stone plays the "bitch" a little too well. Joe Pesci is the scariest most unpredictable "enforcer" I've ever seen. you need a strong stomach fo some of his scenes.Loadsa blood 'n' guts!! NOT family viewing as in the same genre as Reservoir Dogs. Brilliant.

This is a classic gangster movie, not better than goodfellas, but it a classic gangster movie, the move storyline is very expected, I liked the film because it showed good responsibilty within these actors. you gotta watch this movie or capiche!
