a light parody for those in the know of other Bond films without the toothgrinding seriousness of an Inspector Gadget - will watch it more than the Craig version
Early spy spoof, aging Sir James Bond (David Niven) comes out of retirement to take on SMERSH. His mission? Topple Le Chiffre (Orson Welles), whose baccarat winnings support the evil organization. Going beyond parody to sillyness, every agent is renamed James Bond-007 to confuse the enemy. Adding to the mayhem is the neurotic nephew of 007, Little Jimmy Bond (Woody Allen), a SMERSH defector.
I bought this dvd to complement my official james bond dvd collection, if you take it as it was made the film is a decent film, the important thing to remember is this is not true to the book it was to be a send-up of the eon films it is also not the film the new casino royale film is based on.
