I,d been looking for this album for ages as mine was old and scratched and no longer would play i was so excited when i bouught it on ebay for a bargain price i had super fast delivery and it was in excellent condition i would like to thank the seller for giving me hours of enjoyable listening.

Excellent rock band that keeps coming out with very good sounding lyrics.The main reason i bought this album is because i liked the song called,By the way.The whole album is very good but that song stands out for me the most.Very good band.

Fantastic album! Probably my favourite - and most pop-esque - album to come from the Chilis. The album opens with the massive hit 'By The Way' and after that offers more great tracks, such as 'the zyphyr song' and 'can't stop': no fillers. Frusciante succeeds in delivering more great riffs, melodies, and memorable solos. You find yourself singing along to the solos after listening a few times!

The album has been ordered really well. A lot of people will say that this doesn't matter: I think differently. Over all, a great album! A CD that everyone should have in their collection.

I hadn't taken much notice of this band until 'introduced' to their music by my elder son who, incidentally, shares my appreciation of most modes of music. What a distinctive sound!

i bort this cd because i use to have it before but it got damaged so i wanted another copy of it, i like this cd because it is a good cd apart from that i dont know what else to say

Lovely heartwarming songs. The Chillis are known for their brilliant lyrics and music. You can sing along or just let them wash over you. I find their songs very stirring and easy to relax or drive to. Not to dance to!

It is one of the different red hot chili peppers project. After listening Californication in the 1999 you couldn't image that the next album was so pop influenced. But pop is not the right word to describe this abum. It is a lot melodic, because of john. In spite of that john have manipulated a lot this album without considering the other member, i like it very much..try to list songs like the titletrack by the way, or venice queen...

I'm a new fan of the peppers; that is to say I always liked their singles I heard on the radio, but never really got into any of their albums. That was until 6 months ago when I got a copy of the Greatest Hits. I then bought 4 more; "Blood Sugar Sex Magick", "Californication", "By The Way" and most recently "Stadium Arcadium". Not one of these albums disappoints, especially By The Way. Great songwriting is the key to RHCP's success with engaging and thought provoking lyrics matched by brilliant guitar licks and melodies make "By The Way" an essential Chili Peppers purchase.

It's taken four years for this album to fully establish itself with me. I'm very glad I took my time before I wrote this review, because By the Way has made slow but assured progress to a select group of my favourite albums; older, familiar music has a way of etching itself upon a specific period in one's life, somehow making it more enduring.

It's not usually in my nature to overexpose the minutiae of particular songs in a review (as they can do the talking for themselves), but I reserve special praise for one. Perhaps if I thought about it for long enough I'd conclude that Dosed is among my twenty favourite songs of all time, but that's a very strong assumption for anyone to make about a song (as moods are transient, and hence so is favouritism in music). It is without doubt the best on the album by a long way.

Only today, by chance of a broken earphone, did I appreciate the subtle montage that makes up the melody. It manages to be soothing, rippling and deeply rich all at once. It has served as a song for my life, and completely justifies my purchase of the album by itself.

That said, the album itself is a deep trench of quality to delve into, but I won't waste your time by giving several other tracks the album boasts the recognition they deserve; I think I've said enough to convince you. It is a mainstay in my favourites collection owing to the CONSTANT quality that pervades it.

A really great album, the red hot chili peppers' musical talent really begins to shine through these sixteen tracks. Favourites including Can't Stop (a regular number used to open most live performances), Universally Speaking, Don't Forget Me, The Zephyr Song and Venice Queen (a brilliant finalle with a unexpected rhythm guitar ending).
Well done chilis another great album!

This album is absolutely fantastic, definitely one of the Red Hot Chili Peppers best albums. It has something for everyone, very easy listening too. Would strongly recommend!

I love this album and recommend it to anyone wanting to listen to the Chilis for the first time or if you are a fan. The quality of sound is excellent and the lyrics as usual are top quality. Highly recommended

I love the Chili's and this is a fantastic album. I purchased it as I had lost my original copy I bought a couple of years ago.

A great album with a variety of different styles. 'Tear' is a great song. 'By the Way' is fantastic. Overall a masterpiece.

This is the first album I ever bought and is amazing, still one of my favourites everyone should have it!

this album is amazing, in my opinion i think it is the chili's best album to date despite the criticism saying that it's not as good as their albums such as 'californication' and 'blood sugar sex magik'. this album really does show off kiedis' highly improved voice (compared to some of their earlier albums). there is a great balance of songs ranging from in your face 'Can't Stop' all the way down to songs such as 'dosed' and 'warm tape' which are more relaxing. i bought this album with high expectations which it met and almost exceeded, this album is definitely a must have not only for chili's fans, but also for fans of great music :-)
