Well in terms of a Mariah Carey album- its quite simply the best record she has ever made! And quite honestly in terms of modern R&B albums this is considered a classic. What a fantastic vocal showpiece, jammed with your fave MC classics like 'Honey' or 'My all' - its fantastically written and very slick production features throughout. Standout urban , soulful numbers like ' Babydoll' ' The Roof' and 'Breakdown' really serve to make this an album that you will re-play over & over! ' Butterfly' the albums standout track for me- might just be the best ballad she has ever written- and this is from someone who gives you ' Outside' and the fantastic 'Whenever u call' on ths career defining album. Its highly reccommended. Truly one of Mariah's best and if you like Stellar production- outstanding and imcomparable vocal brilliance, and life changing lyrics ( '' Finding my soul there in your eyes..I won't ever be to, far away to feel you, and I wont hestitate at all - Whenever you call'' ) and that is just one song that I picked. Then this is the album for you.
But perosnally I think this is the album for everyone- it's just simply THAT GOOD.
Nothin Like It It Is Amazing i Love It i mean it is a really really really really amazing album i love every single track like i said there is nothing like it it is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo BRILLIANT
The tracks on this album are much more simple that on other Mariah albums, toneing down the vocals and turning on the R&B beats. Mariah moves away from her Pop routes, but still pleases fans with ballads such as "Whenever You Call" and "Butterfly", however they have also under gone the transformation of her new found influence. The hip hop style first single, "Honey" is her third single to debut at #1 in the US, and one of only 16 tracks ever to achieve this.
