Totally hilarious film- can't fault it. It was funny then and it's funny now. I've wanted this film for a while but hae had a bit of trouble tracking it down. I want to have my own copy so that I can watch it whenever I feel like it. Richard Pryor and John Candy are very funny in this film and it is definitely worth watching.

I bought this item as I have seen it before. I only had a recorded version off the telly from many many years ago.
This is a fantastic film that you just can't get away from. Try imagine spending 30 million in 30 days without owning any assests at the end. No easy task!!
Would definately recommend this film to all, perfect for children to watch as well.
One for your collection - most definately.
There is nothing that i disliked about this film, only the fact that I will never get the chance to see what it feels like to spend this much money!!!!
Brewster's Millions is a film I first saw as a child, and loved. I could remember barely anything about the story some twenty years later when I bought it, but with a price tag of only £3 I felt like reliving my youth.
Richard Pryor stars as Montgomery Brewster, a washed up baseball player who inherits $300 million from an unknown relative, but the money comes with a catch - in order to claim $300 million he must spend $30 million in 30 days and have nothing to show for the money and without telling anyone what he's doing. It's Brewster's attempts to spend money, and his friends and accountants attempts to stop him, that provide most of the laughs in this thoroughly enjoyable comedy. Pryor is good in the title role, although in danger of going a little over the top at times, and John Candy is amusing in anything and this film is no exception.
This is actually the seventh film adaptation of George Barr McCutcheon's 1902 novel. The first version of the film was released in 1914 as a silent movie and other versions have the titles "Three On A Spree" and "Miss Brewster's Millions". I havn't seen any of these previous films so I don't know how they compare to the 1985 Brewster's Millions.
We have been a big fan of Richard Pryor for a long time and what he plays in Brewster's Millions is Excellent along side JOHN CANDY.Where he has to spend all that money in a certain amount of time and not tell anybody why.EXCELLENT FILM what more can be said.
This is a great comedy that never gets old, I remember watching it years ago when it first came out and it remains hilariously funny 20 years on. The film brilliantly brings together Richard Pryor (Monty Brewster) and John Candy in a tale of riches, excessive spending and more riches!
Monty, the only descendant of an unknown millionaire great uncle, finds that he is to inherit the old mans estate, but there's a catch. In order to get $300 million he must spend $30 million in 30 days and have nothing to show for it except the clothes on his back, and he's not allowed to tell anyone the rules leading to hilarious repercussions.
The story involves Pryor spending as hard as he can with Candy trying to make a few bucks for his old baseball buddy, and the lawyers disposing of the will also trying to sabotage Montys efforts to reap the estate for themselves.
This is truly a classic film from the 80s that's a must have for anyone who loves comedy.
Great Film. Good storyline Great comedy actors, i.e Richard Prior & John Candy (now sadly deceased) but a good film for all the family I think. The film has some gripping moments in it mainly towards the end when I had a few tears of joy at the good ending. A Must for all Richard Prior fans or John Candy fans. Acting at their best.
