Superb film, the funniest i've seen in a long time. Truly unmissable, it will make your ribs hurt with laughter. I don't think I will ever get tired of watching it.

It has a few funny moments but nothing too special and thats coming from a jackass fan. Worth what I paid for it though.

Absolutely a classic. Made me laugh from start to finish. He must have offended so many groups making this film but I think that he gets away with it because you can see that he only does it to wind people up. It pushes the boundaries of film making by being totally outrageous. In a room full of people two thirds will be in stitches whilst the remainder will wonder what the fuss is about. Whether you love or hate the film will depend on your sens
se of humour. I stronly recommend that you watch it at least once.

I'd seen the film before, and its just something you can watch again and again. I'd definately recommend It, but only to ages 13+

I was in pain from laughing at this film! My throat was sore, my stomach muscles were sore, my head hurt, it is actually the FUNNIEST film i've ever seen!

THOUGH I DID ENJOY THIS FILM I HAD SEEN IT ON TV THEN DECIDED TO BUY IT ON EBAY I FEEL IT STARTS OFF FUNNY WHEN BORAT IS IN KAZAKHSTAN IN HIS HOME VILLAGE TELLING US OF HIS FAMILY,SISTER(iisss niiice),NEIGHBOUR(which nobody likes) & THE OTHER VILLAGERS. IT SEEMS TO DIP A LITTLE IN HUMOUR DURING HIS TIME IN AMERICA THOUGH STILL SOME REAL COMICAL SCENES. THEN PICKS UP AGAIN WHEN HE GETS BACK TO HIS KAZAKHSTAN VILLAGE. THOUGH I MAY SEEM A BIT CRITICAL I DID ENJOY THIS FILM, BUT MAYBE THAT'S BECAUSE I'M TRYING TO REVIEW THIS BUT CAN'T HELP MYSELF TO NOT COMPARE IT TO THE ALI G STUFF WHICH I DO FEEL LEAVES BORAT IN THE SHADOWS. Watched this in the cinema and then purchased the DVD. Not one to watch if the kids are up but the more I see of it, the more the genius of Baron-Cohen shines through. One never quite knows if those people being interviewed across America knew they were being set up. Next opportunity I get, I want to watch it again. The ending puts paid to any claims of race discrimination as Borat marries his lover ----a great send up of communism. Recommended.

A bit like marmite- some love it others not, i did but some of my friends did not. Do you feel sorry for stupid people that make themselves look even more stupid, if you do then this is for you.

Hysterically funny - and the majority of the Americans that "Borat" dupes actually come over well, as friendly and tolerant of foreigners. Some people won't get the joke; we did. The DVD is handy to have because you can stop and go back to see the bits you missed beacuse of laughing too much .....

Funny and NOT politically correct, which is a bloody novelty these days!!!

Truelly believe that this could be one of the funniest films I have ever seen.

I dont know how the acter, Cohen, gets away with it! I think the gags and jokes are cheeky but actually well thought out.

It is a cynical type of humour that is needed to enjoy this film.

I went to watch it at the cinema and I guarentee everyone in the cinema was laughing. It can be rude at times and shows unusual sides of some American citizens.

If you havent already seen it, then you MUST!!

It was one of the most talked about cinema releases of 2006, and even got Oscar nominations, as well as winning a Golden Globe for its star, Sacha Baron Cohen.

Now Borat is getting the DVD treatment, and whatever you may think of Baron Cohen, there's no denying he's looking to provide real value for money and plenty of laughter with this small screen release.

First of all, there's the amazing film itself, in which his Kazakh alter ego journeys to America and gets the horn for Pamela Anderson. Meanwhile, we follow his adventure across the US, as he baffles and bemuses everyone he meets, from right-wing politicians through to feminists and driving instructors, as well as reminding us of his beloved obsession with the Jew.

On the big screen, audiences were treated to all this – but now on the small screen there is even more to enjoy and be shocked at, while laughing at the same time.

From the menus, which feature cheap looking Soviet-style graphics and bad colour, along with pigeon English, through to tons of extras which include deleted scenes and other spoof material, it's obvious that the makers have really thought about the DVD.

Rather than just trying to cash in on the success of the film at the cinema, the DVD really enhances the whole Borat experience and takes it to a new level. Among the highlights are deleted footage, including a side-splitting spoof of Baywatch (featuring co-star Ken Davitian in skimpy swimwear, all his bits on display), as well as Borat working at a burger bar and attempting to get plastic surgery.

There is also a montage of extracts from Borat's world tour promoting the film, including his outrageous appearance on Jay Leno's Tonight Show, in which he makes a bed and wants sexytime with Martha Stewart.

As well as being available in English, the DVD promises Russian and Hebrew dubbing – of course, the Russian is offered but Borat is having a joke by suggesting a Hebrew version is available. Click on the option and a warning appears saying "You have been trapped, Jew" while a voiceover repeats the words "Jew in vicinity....."

The only letdown is that there is no director's commentary – or, for that matter, commentary from Borat himself. No doubt another version will be released at some point, but in the mean time this is a classic and a must for any DVD collection.

I BOUGHT IT BECUASE THE FIRST TIME I SAW IT I WAS LAUGHING MY HEAD OFF, THEN AFTER A YEAR DECIDED TO WATCH IT AGAIN & IT WASNT SO FUNNY. I KNOW IT ANT THE SAME AS WATCHING IT THE FIRST TIME. BUT IT WAS BORING!

great movie, vvv funny and i loved it. watched it a few times. it is a bit racist to jews, but im sure everyone knows it's just a joke!!

I liked some of this a lot but other parts I did not like. I think its too over the top - I know that this is his way ie see Ali G (which I also like) but I think he takes some things a bit too far. The nude wrestling scenes made me feel ill and I did not think they were even funny and I dont think they were relevant to the story anyway. I think the story line is weak. I actually think this guy should stick to shorter things like his 1/2 hour TV shows as they are very funny.
