Blade Runner (DVD)

The presentation of this 5 disk box-set is perfect for Blade Runner fans! You'll get more than you bargained for; not only do you get all the versions of the film you'll be expecting, including the 2007 Final Cut, but you also get the original work-print of the film - possibly the best version there is. The work print had me glued to the screen; alternate footage, music and titles - this really takes you into the world of Deckard (Ford) in a way no other version really does.

Perhaps final cut is superior in it's luscious color, sound and re-shot scenes; smoothing out any error's found before. But all versions are really looking good and it;s personal preference that will make you decide which of the 5 versions you like most.

Included on the 5 disks are tons of bonus material as you'd expect but the depth the documentaries and so on go into equals the detail found in this land mark movie. Inside the box you'll also be presently surprised to find art cards, a holographic film still and a personal message from director Ridley Scott.

A magic film which is suitable given justice by this release.

Cost is ridiculously lox for the amount of material you receive so if you have any inclination to buy this set - follow your instincts and you won't be disappointed!

Blade Runner fan ? Well this new version should get you even more hooked than ever before. Both picture and sound quality is excellent and enhances the experience of watching it immencely. If you want the whole collectors thing, go for the tin boxed version, but be careful, some sellers announce the tin boxed version and send you the cheaper and less interesting cardboard box claiming it was a fault, and offers you a tiny discount.

A very excellent item (almost sounding like Bill & Ted)the item is pure class for 5 dvd's (Final cut, Dangerous Days/making of Blade runner, 3 complete archival versions, Enhancement archive and Workprint) not to mention all the extra's that come with it - motion film clip, 16 page photo & contents booklet and rare art folio's featuring works by Syd Mead and other visionary artists.

Very highly rated and a must for any Ridley Scott Collection/dvd film enthusiast.
