Billy Connolly - Live In New York (DVD)

This man is so funny - had a great laugh at this dvd will watch it over and over again so will not sell it on.

I bought this recording of Billy Connolly to add to my collection. I have been a big fan of BC for many years, although like many other fans , I still do not approve of his excessive use of bad language. This recording is quite good, some of his stories have been related before as referred to by other reviewers,but there is still enough new content to entertain, especially some of the digs at the American audience. All in all it was definitely worth the money and I would still recommend any Connolly fan to add it to their collection.

I bought it for my son who finds Billy Connolly exceptionally funny. He had a collection of Billy connelly dvds which he lent to an army colleague and didn't get them back and they have lost touch. We love his outlook on life and can imagine the scenes he creates. Having met him inperson at The lonach gathering he is a very nice person

I'm a fan of Billy Connoly, so I'm biased. But I was very entertained by his performance. He always thinks of something!

Really disappointed with this DVD it was the worst I have seen Billy Connolly do, even the audience is quite not the usual belly laughs you would expect from him. Do yourself a favour and give this one a miss.

i really liked it but not much new material,had heard alot of the material before.but its billy connolly so laways funny

A gr8 dvd, but i think after watching it that a lot of his stories were wasted on the american audience, his humour was way over their heads, but never the less its well worth a watch and to buy, he`s done better but if you like billy you will like this A+++.

If you enjoy the homour of Billy you will love the Live in New York Dvd.
Like his other gigs if you are needing to visit the toilet or move from your seat be sure you will be a target.
Your sides will be splitting with laughter while watching this.

this dvd is excellent have looked for it for some time i really rate billy he has had a very varied life { i would recomend you read his autobiography written by his wife pamela stevenson an excellent incite to this mans life ) he pulls on his life experiences which were not all good and turns them into humour a very talented and brave man. his houmor is second to none and the serious programs he has made are all equally as interesting. it is well worth finding more about billy than just his humour

HUGE fan of Billy but this dissapointed HUGELY as everything he's done up till this has been brill, didn't laugh till near the end with the sleeping bag joke and even then it wasn't a mighty crying laugh as before.

I've always loved Billy Connelly's Stand-up shows, and this one did not disappoint. Reviewing life at the tender age of sixty-two, he manages to put comedy into such new situations that I for one found funnier because it was not what I was expecting.
From singing bits of opera to teaching meanings behind relationships, Billy has once again managed to put entertainment under a new light.

Great dvd of Billy - some great new material too...a must for all fans! Also really like the way he presents to an AMerican audience as opposed to a british..references, differences etc are fantastically obeserved.

Have been a fan for years he's funniest guy ever everyone should have this dvd in their collection you'll roar with laughter and want to keep watching it over and over again. Brill.

If you are a Billy Connolly fan you will not be disappointed. One or two things I had seen on other performances but he has a way of telling them slightly different, probably as adjusts to suit the audience. He could perhaps use the 'f' word less, I don't think he needs to do this to be funny and yet somehow he is one of the few people who can continually use bad language without offending me! Undoubtedly just as funny as any material I have ever seen - however his best DVD has to be 'An Audience with Billy Connolly" This has got to be Billy at his Best! with a celeb packed audience. Brill!

I bought this DVD as I'm a fan of all comedy. Some people say that British comody fails in the US but Billy's unique style conquers this extremely well. The fresh material is brilliantly presented. Again it is Billy at his best; his constant movement on stage might annoy some but this is totally without props!. The frequent and severe bad language is a shame as it is unnecessary and fails to add to the humour content. Overall this is a very enjoyable DVD, and highly recommended.

This guy does not get worse as he gets older. A plain and simple genius.

The DVD is Billy Connolly's live tour "too old to die young". he's an absolute genius, I saw him live on this tour and the DVD just confirmed it's well worth listening to this great comedian. It's the kind of show that once can never get bored of watching. The bidding price was low, and considering that a new DVD would have cost me about 5 times as much, ebay is definetly worth shopping on. The seller was fantastic, great service and a real credit to ebay.
