I absolutly love this film, the bad acting aside and the comical maner of the magic and sourcery it is simply a must see film. Always worth a watch as kurt Russell is excellent with his straight to the point maner, also who knew Kim Katrell was that bad at acting
This is a must view cult classic. Kurt Russell in what is my opinion one of his best roles. He and the pork chop express are like fish and chips - great!! Kim Catterall was very watchable and anyone who hasn't got this should BUY IT NOW!!
This is a all cast film, great characters, great story, brilliant adventure and a bit of romance, they dont make films like this any more, recommend to all.

Great film really love this classic it has action suspense and comedy all rolled into one great film, why did I buy it to replace this version I had on video.
This is one of Carpenters more unusual films in that it is very mainstream. Pairing up with buddy Kurt Russell again (listen to the commentary to see how well these guys get on) he once again plays the hero but not in the anti-hero way of Escape from New York or The Thing, this part could easily be played by Bruce Willis or another of the action leading men, thank god its not and Kurt does his usual great job. Kim Cattral may ad some extra interest to this title, looking great as you'd expect and even nicer than she is in Sex in the City. This is a complete comic book movie with very mild elements of horror, Carpenter must have tried really hard to leave out his usual gore to recieve a wider audience. The special effect are showing their age but it does'nt detract from what is a enjoyable comedy/action/horror and is probably better than you remember it. Picture and sound are top notch as are the extra features the highlight being the aforementioned commentary. This is basically a must have to sit next to your other classic Carpenter titles and remains one of his best films (it's his favorite surprisingly).
