Beyond Borders (DVD 2004)

This is a really great film starring Angelina Jolie and Clive Owen. Angelina Jolie plays 'Sarah' an American 'rich girl' whose had a privileged and sheltered upbringing and now resides in London with her wealthy husband. Whilst attending a socialites bash with her husband she meets 'Nick' a renegade doctor who makes a massive impact on her with a heart wrenching tale of war torn nations that require immediate help. Nicks almost single-handed humanitarian efforts to give aid to the needy people of the countries, without a thought for his safety, profoundly moves Sarah. She then embarks on perilous journeys to far flung corners of the world in an effort to help raise awareness of these damaged war-torn nations. Along the way her amazement at Nicks tenacity, his never-ending love of his work and his dogged determination to give aid to those less fortunate stirs in her a fierce passion not only for the war-torn countries but also for Nick. Its a wonderful realistically portrayed film with some truly amazing settings, fabulous scenery and great acting! Be ready to live their dream, be frightened with them, cry with them and watch out for the final twist in the ending. Its one of my MOST favourite films!!!
