Decided to buy this thinking that I didn't already have it: I did. Never mind, though. It is a good album but in my opinion probably not as good as Chicane's earlier 'must-have' album, Far From the Maddening Crowd. The latter is a classic album and they don't seem to make music like that anymore. Far From the Maddening Crowd is a superb drive album or 'anytime' album that just lets you drift away. The same applies to Behind the Sun as well.
If you have bought Behind the Sun first and not Far From the Maddening Crowd, then, basically, you've screwed up. Get both albums.
If I ever have to leave anywhere in a hurry - to include the planet earth - then Far From the Maddening Crowd is the one album I'd take with me but would quite happily take Behind the Sun if I couldn't find the former album.
P.S. THIS IS SERIOUS ADVICE: DO NOT EVER LEND ANY OF THESE ALBUMS AS YOU WILL LOSE AT LEAST ONE FRIENDSHIP SIMPLY BECAUSE YOU WILL NOT - LIKE ANY GOOD BOOK - EVER GET IT BACK!!! YOU'RE WARNED!!!
"Behind The Sun" is one of those albums which always brings a feeling of freshness. It is an uplifting and clean album. If you have this in your collection you will enjoy listening to it.
(4/5 because it always sounds good after all the times it's played)
never recieved item only just realised i bought it not very happy still waiting nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn
Wonderful-it just grows and grows on you originally purchased for the two most popular tracks-"Saltwater" and "No Ordinary Morning" I ended up liking all the other tracks especially "Autumn Tactics" which has a superb vocal by Justine Suissa and reminded me of Faithless at their best and of course the "Saltwater" remix by the Thrillseekers. The only track I still cant get around my head is the popular "Don't Give Up" featuring Brian Adams-come on he's a rock man!! but i'm gradually getting there.10 tracks of chill out paradise hide yourself away and listen.
Well after hearing the tune "saltwater" for the first time on an advert on tv i decided to get this as the tune was very good and even relaxing. Having bought the album only days later i was skeptical at first but that soon vanished as i listened to it play.. This has to be one of the best cds i have heard in a long time, very relaxing and mindblowing music.
