Bought the CD for the same reason as most people in their 40s, they have it on album stuck up in the loft with no record player. Also I played it to death in the late 70s so it's taken 20 years for me to fancy listening to it again. All together a top album but the overlaid track upon track upon track of each individual recording means the production quality as at best chronic,or perhaps we've all been spoilt by the sublime quality of the digital era. To sum up, a wonderful trip down memory lane reminding me of where I was at in my life all those years ago....you can't put a price on that.
This is the only album that I have ever bought 3 times and the songs still sounds as fresh as they did when I was in my teens.....wasn't sure about a remastered version but don't be scared they haven't messed it up!
My copy that i have had for years, has been played over and over again, when i seen this i thought it was a good idea to get a repalcement, but on reeiving it i have deided to put it in my car so a good sing along on long journeys is well on the ards.

I have always liked Meatloaf's music especially since serving in the armed forces during the 1980's. Whilst serving abroad one of my favourite CD's was the timeless "Bat Out Of Hell" which I lost over the years. The opportunity came up on Ebay and since my purchase some wonderful memories have come flooding back.
It's in excellent quality and I am rocking away to all the CD's that I purchased.
This album has kept Meatloaf and Jim Steinman in food for the past 30 years and with every single track a superb piece of work it will continue to be one of the best albums ever.
