This is a great place to start if you want to see what all the "Clapton is God" stuff was about. Back in the period from the mid 60s to the mid 70s EC went through a number of changes of approach from the early blues stuff through to the influences on the music scene of Hendrix, The Band and others. It's all reflected here, including some from my own personal favourite Eric Clapton album; 461 Ocean Boulevard.
like i said disc one does not play because it takes it time to play it was a xmas present for my dad.and he was not happy with disc one not playing.your friend lisa
Good selection of older tracks-thought JJ Cale does a funkier version of Cocaine though.Could do with another double cd of his later work especially duet with Tina Turner.
Although enjoying Eric Clapton's music over the years I'd never bought any of his albums, so this was a first. 22 tracks on 2 CDs including all the old favourites. A really enjoyable, easy-listening album. Well worth purchasing.
