Great songs, REM's best album by far. Some of their classics all in one place - Find the River being a particular favourite. Recommended.

Excellent band,with really good songs.I think it had one of the best songs ever in everybody hurts which speaks to alot of people on different levels regarding life and day to day turmoils.Lead singer is also very good.

Got this as a gift for a friend but have to say I love this album myself , probably the most comercially reecognised of their albums I still mark it as one of their best. This man has an enchanting voice and the music does nothing but compliment it . So many beautiful tracks all gripping in different ways . Would definitley reccomend .

I think it's the best album R.E.M have ever done so I had to replace my old,worn out and scratched copy as it's an essential c.d. for my collection.

Good, strong songs with that quirky vocal style and all very listenable to. One of my favourite driving CDs.

Michael Stipe's lyrics are a little obscure at times, but who cares; he writes memorable songs, the sort that remind you of a good holiday, an romance or a generally happy time in your life.

This is possibly their strongest album, but there is a lot of good music on their other CDs. If you're not too familiar with REM then I think that this is the best of their CDs to start with, and you can move on from this one if you like what you hear.
