First transmitted in 1986, The second series of Auf Wiedersehen Pet finds our favourite Geordie builders back in the UK and then Spain. Dick Clement and Ian La Frenais' scripts, plus the ensemble acting of Tim Healy, Kevin Whatley, Jimmy Nail, Timothy Spall, Gary Holton, Pat Roach and Christopher Fairbank continued to make Auf Wiedersehen Pet first-rate television.

I like watching programmes from my area, it brought back memories from the 80's when it was on tv, it reminds you that true friends never desert you. I had series 1,3 and 4 so needed 2 to complete set.
I loved this show on it's original transmission which was in 1986. I still think it is one of the best series of the 1980's by far even though that the further 3 sequels did not have the same impact. It follows the lives of Dennis(Tim Healy),Oz(Jimmy Nail),Bomber(Pat Roach),Neville(Kevin Whately),Moxey(Chris Fairbank),Barry(Tim Spall)and Wayne (Gary Holton)all brought together by Maggie Thatcher's Britain at the time of high unemployment and forced to work in Germany to earn a living. The actors worked superbly together and even though quite dated still shows the determination that working class guys had just to get by. Although the cast all relatively unknown at this point were very green they all went on to forge very good careers on the Tv and Big screen all except Gary Holton who sadly passed away before production on the 2nd series was completed. A great blast from the past and well worth taking the time to watch again and again.
I enjoyed watching this whole series when it was out on TV, so I taped it all but I cannot watch them on VHS because the tapes are no good for watching on anymore so I thought that I'd buy them on DVD and I can watch them over and over again
A classic series, always good to watch over and over again.Series 1 was fantastic and in some cases you can say that the follow up series to some programmed are never as good as the 1st. This set is hilarious and is just as good as the 1st series. highly recommend.
A classic series, always good to watch, and the first two are still the best of all the series by far!! Plenty of antics from the lads on the building sites, Auf Wiedersehen Pet really is an iconic piece of television, and the first two series, set on German building sites, have all the raw magic of pre-stardom, totally classic and absolutely unmissable!!! A must have for any dvd collection, hilarious and nostalgic!!
Series 1 was fantastic and in some cases you can say that the follow up series to some programmes are never as good as the 1st. This set is hilarious and is just as good as the 1st series. highly recommend this series if you enjoyed series 1. looking forward to purchasing next series. Wish they could make TV like this today.
