It is unfortunate that Jeff Lynne's solo classic remains unavailable but it is in my view up there with his very best work. The opening track 'Every Little Thing' impressively sets the standard, a great song and up there with the ELO classics. The set includes Lynne's take on a couple of old standards 'September Song' and 'Stormy Weather' and make this a more personal album. The presence of a host of guest musicians including George Harrison make this an interesting precursor to the very successful Wilburys releases, also unavailable. 'Armchair Theatre' is long overdue being repackaged, remastered and the prospect of bonus material from this period is intriguing. I hope we don't have to wait too long. I rediscovered my vinyl copy recently and thanks to E-bay managed to gain the 1990 cd. It has been on steady rotation since. Isn't it about time Jeff Lynne's talent was recognised more?
