the good thing about buying videos dvds from ebay is even old favorites can be found at a fraction of the cost without having to trawl around shops this is a particular favorite of ours espically the music and arrived quickly from a excellent e bayer

Armageddon is probably one of the most romantic but upsetting and slightly worrying films I've ever seen. The fact that what happens in this film can actually happen its worrying. The graphics are superb and the storyline couldnt be better. Would highly recommend this film to anybody.

The Movie has an mazing story line suprside it is my forst time watching this ti is amazing the soundtrack has to be one of the best ever as well the aerosmith legends =)

i decided to buy it becoz it looked like the best dvd on ebay at the time and i love it because it is a great film to watch and an excellent song at the end of the film.

This 1998 testosterone-saturated blow-'em-up from producer Jerry Bruckheimer and director Michael Bay (The Rock, Bad Boys) continued Hollywood's millennium-fuelled fascination with the destruction of our planet. There's no arguing that the successful duo understand what mainstream audiences want in their blockbuster movies--loads of loud, eye-popping special effects, rapid-fire pacing, and patriotic flag waving. Bay's protagonists--the eight crude, lewd, oversexed (but, of course, lovable) oil drillers summoned to save the world from a Texas-sized meteor hurling toward the earth--are not flawless heroes, but common men with whom all can relate. In this huge Western-in-space soap opera, they're American cowboys turned astronauts. Sci-fi buffs will appreciate Bay's fetishising of technology, even though it's apparent he doesn't understand it as anything more than flashing lights and shiny gadgets. Smartly, the duo also try to lure the art-house crowd, raiding the local indie acting stable to populate the film with guys like Steve Buscemi, Billy Bob Thornton, Owen Wilson, and Michael Duncan, all adding needed touches of humour and charisma.

good film that show just what ordinary people can do.it just goes to show what anyone can do to save the world regardless of what can happen.

Great classic film, I can watch over and over again! I must for any big film fan. Tugs at your heart strings but love it.

I love it because it stars Bruce Willis who is my absolute favourite actor.
When I saw it I just had to have it and with such a good value item i could not go wrong.

this film is great i loved it when it came out and will continue to love it as soon as i saw this on ebay i had to bid for it and lucky for me i won the bid i cant wait till this dvd arrives at my front door ill pop it straight in my dvd and watch the film and because its a 2 disc dvd collectors item ill watch the 2nd disc and find out how the film was made.

The dvd was exactly what I wanted. I had originally watched it at the cinema when it was first released and really enjoyed. I can now rewatch it whenever I want.

Well if you haven't seen this film yet, get it, its GREAT. A must if you have surround sound on the home system. I had this dvd from a while back, but loaned it to a mate, who forgot to give it back, so hence the latest purchase.

Could sit in and watch this over again.

Not a bad film at all if you like All American Gung-Ho Save the Planet stuff! Totally unrealistic scenario - but the best ones always are!

i loved it, great acting by all the cast, i was bawling like a baby at the end. i bought it because it was recommended to me by one of my workmates.

o.k so i'm starting with CLASSIC in every review i'm doing, but this definately is. its got something for everyone., love, drama, comedy, action, tension....it's great.
bruce willis is one of my fav's and he does his typical...I'm a tough man...act, and ben afflect does his...i'm a hotty... so i like it!
you must of seen this...if not, why not, buy it!!

If you have never seen this film, you have too! It is amazing. Although it gives the impression of being sci-fi, it has very little sci-fi in, the main plot follows the relationship between a Father, his Daughter and her Lover. A very emotional and gripping film.

From start to finish your gripped by the action and suspence your thrust into, whilst it is clearly very Americanised and far fetched it still provides as an entertaining vice for the night in with the lads or the night with the girlfriend. Trying not to use the cliche of something for everyone, but this is one of those little gems that really offers that, high octance moments of action providing for classic 'on the edge of your seat moments' with a touches of romance and despair scattered throughout. An all star cast with many memorable moments and some excellent performances put in by Billy Bob Thornton and Bruce Willis provides for an all round entertaining film, if you fancy some far fetched escapism or just an entertaining night in Armageddon is well worth a look.

i bought amageddon because of the price i found that it was a very reasonable pric plus i like all of ben affleck & bruce willis films which they both played great parts in this film, i also find its a real tear jerker

I like that movie. I think it's the best movie i've ever seen. And collectors edition is even better, becouse special features show how they make the movie and show all special efects.
