The iPhone is a great piece of technology with one of the easiest and practical User Interface's I have seen and used, the only other to be be close is the Mac OS X operating system, with the window scrolling and touch screen I think the iPhone is even better and easier to use.
I'm sure people will like it even more once some new app's start to appear and they get the hang of using the little hidden features in the GUI.
If your into technology this is one device you'll appreciate and get a lot of use out of.
This phone truly sets out the future generation, for mobile devices!
I mean just look at it isn't it beautiful!

Basically, the iPhone is great. Be warned though that the internet can be slower than you might have been led to believe. If you have Wi-Fi you will have no probs really but the vast majority of people won't have that access at work, on the train, in the city etc... so it will either go to EDGE which is slower, or GPRS slower still. Also; if the phone is roaming for Wi-Fi all the time the battery will drain well within a day - you can turn off the Wi-Fi search easily though. Some functions like You Tube will only operate in Wi-Fi or EDGE (although it's not worth watching on EDGE as it's too slow to stream)
As for e-mail - It uses a pull system where by the max frequency is every 15 mins. I think that this is more than adequate personally. Anyone who tells you that the keyboard is hard to use either only tried it once, has no dexterity or very fat fingers! After a few texts and e-mails it becomes as natural as breathing. Thumbs up for that!
Generally speaking the functionality is fantastic - the iPod, the pics, the calender, maps etc all good. The camera isn't great but for basic pics of nights out / pets and so on it's more than adequate.
The build quality is good too - although I live in constant fear of scratching the screen (screen protectors are available). It is not a robust phone and the fact that you can't swap the sim to a less valuable phone to do 'outdoory' things is annoying.
It has a good signal strength in low signal areas and, when not constantly looking for Wi-Fi, has a reasonable stand-by battery time. It is also really easy to get started and link to a PC - if I can manage it anyone can!
Overall - the phone is awesome. Is it worth £260 + £35 / month for 18 months? Well possibly not. I can see the price dropping considerably within 6 months as the competition from other mobile manufacturers builds up.
A warning - ONLY BUY THESE FROM O2, APPLE OR CARPHONE WHEREHOUSE! If you get them from anywhere else you are throwing you money away 'cos it won't work in the UK.
My advice to anyone who doesn't have money to throw away is just hang fire and wait for three to six months to see what the price does. If you are a gadget freak then just get it because it will entertain you for weeks.
I hope this has helped you make your mind up - I am glad I got it but feel guilty for what is a considerable splash of cash!

What else can I say about this mobile phone except for the facts that it is the easiest to use, feature packed, good looking and best mobile phone I have ever owned. I have had Nokia N80's and N95's and Motorola Z8's but to be honest they are nowhere as user friendly as the iPhone. Most modern mobiles operate on a Symian OS and are prone to freezing, crashing and various other quirks. Save yourself all the hassle and get an iPhone which in the week I have owned has been faultless not missing a beat. My iPhone is on O2 which means I get all the features available on an iPhone and I am unsure if some of these are unavailable on other networks but even if some features do not work I would still get one of these. The screen resolution and clarity is brilliant for a small screen and the touch screen is quick, accurate and easy to use. Get one of these if you can, you will not believe how much better they are than a 'standard' mobile phone. I cannot wait to get my hands next on the new 3G model.

Good ServiceAfter getting the phone and checking it over I'm very happy to say that its what I wanted and very happy that I got it from someone on Ebay I can trust and didn't get any problems and didn't get ripped off like I have in the past which starts to make you feel that Ebay is not all bad.

love the fact you can jailbreak and put any thing you like on it like a guitar drum kits 3d photo imaging dont be put off by the no video recorder becos you can get that free when you jailbreak it ! i love it ! check out youtube for all the apps !

This phone is the best buy i've made, its fast, easy and sexy. The phone which i bought unlocked at a very reasonable price is just what i wanted. plus pay as you go, no monthly bills of £45 on 18 month contract..

in my opinions this phone is a brilliant device, regardless of you owning a pc or a mac, it works seamlessly with both, having internet, sms, phone, calendar and the list goes on.
this is one of the best smart phones out there, i have owned a windows mobile device for a while now and after switching to the iphone its amazed me how much easier things are and how much more intuitive, no more pointers for touch screens etc.
just a brilliant device, the only device better i could guess about is the new iphone :)

Well after owning a Nokia N95 for 7 months a phone that does everything and outweighs the iphone in every department i have to say, im absolutely smitten with apples foray into the mobile market :)
Its so unique and the way it works just impresses you time and time again, apple have obviously spent a long time on the ergonomics aspect and it shows, the little details are great like the photo zooms and flicking of names etc, and the email retrieval is spot on.
I love this phone and for what i need it for it is much better for me than the N95 although that is probably because the Nokia has so much on it i could never use it and its nowhere near as fun!

I had long wanted an iphone, and this proved to be the ideal purchase. The seller was most courteous and helpful, repsonding the several practical queries (about use) I raised, after it had arrived. The phone itself was in pristine condition, and even had the original receipt for its purchase. Spending this sort of money can easily raise a few doubts in the purchaser's mind, but I have nothing but satisfaction and praise for a smooth and speedy transaction.

i was very disappointed becauce it was advertised as next day delivery didnt receive untill 14 days later when it arrived it wouldnt work i have taken it to be mended it has had to go back to the manufacturers and is costing us £80.00 to get fixed i will not buy from ebay again

APPLE iPHONE 8GBThis is a great piece of kit and I fast found out how reliant I have become on it when I had to send it away for repair!
The keyboard can be a bit fiddly to get used to, however the predictive text aspect corrects most errors, so it doesn't matter too much. The batter runs down very quickly if you're using it all day, which is another small irritation.
The only complaint I really have about the iPhone is how fragile it is. It doesn't take too much to crash the system, requiring you to reboot and re-unlock the system if you are using a sim other than 3G or O2.
Overall it looks great, has loads of handing applications and is worth the £200 price tag I paid for it.

I Like the I phone, but the seller never reply to my email after I win the item.... so I not got it yet until now, a good thing is I have not paid yet, if I have I will lost my money....!! to many scam on ebay.... especialy on valuable items I think the team should wacth for the scam artists on ebay....
there are too many of them, not just once or twice I got scam, but at least about 5 times 4 times sent the money but never received the goods.... but then again there are some genuine seller on ebay, but really needto be seriuse look on scam seller...they are too many of them now on Ebay.......!!!

There's not much to say about this. I thought it was going to be difficult to use as i'd tried the original phone and when i struggled pressing to buttons to text with i was put off....how wrong i could have been. The iphone couldn't be easier to text with, even with my sausage fingers pressing an array of wrong buttons the phone manages to (i'd say 95% of the time) guesse correctly the word that you're trying to type ! That paired with the what seems like millions of free applications that can now be added and this phone really is a true masterpiece !!
If you don't have one and are thinking about it ... Think no longer, you will not be dissapointed !
Also one little tip. If you do get an iphone they tend to scratch quite easilly so look at getting yourself some Invisible SHIELD, used to preotect helecopter blades. Just type it in google and then you should be able to pick some up on ebay for about £20!! Very much worth the money to protect my new pride and joy !!
