XTC Apple Venus Vol 1 CD
Just love this CD. XTC at their best (even tho sadly, down to a duo).
Just one criticism of the record co Cooking Vinyl, why no info? The Apple/Wasp box set has a wonderful booklet with lyrics and song explanations - a stripped down version would have been fine. Nevertheless this performance is up up there with their best stuff. River of Orchids is so original, other tracks are quite reminiscent of their Oranges and Lemons period. If you have never listened to this band then this is not a bad place to start. Long may they reign and record!
