John Lennon - Anthology (CD 1998)

I'm a big fan of john lennon and the beatles. I thought I had heard the best of Lennon's solo work prior to getting this anthology (only yesterday)...well I was wrong. This has so many tracks on it that I've never heard in my life and I am so surprised by this, as there are so many GREAT songs on here that should have been over played on the radio by now!
I really would Urge people to listen/or buy this as it is out of this world. Songs such as 'I'm Stepping Out', 'Serve Yourself', 'Losing You' and 'Nobody Loves You When You're Down And Out' totally grabbed me and im hooked by the whole 92 tracks that are on here! (i honestly thought it would be one of them CDs that I would "take a bit of getting used too" but no it's not stopped playing in my house and I love it".
This colection of songs has a feel good vibe going on - with humour, great melodys and raw licks here and there.
Even the famous songs such as 'Woman', 'Watching the Wheels' and 'Nobody Told Me' are on here a with sightly different lick of paint and they are awesome.
I got this for £25.00 including packaging & Posting (brand new) and it's the best 25 quid I've spent on something! Go get this bad boy and you will be impressed...If you dont you will truely be missing out!!!!!!!!!

THIS IS A MUST FOR ANY JOHN LENNON FAN.IF YOU DO NOT OWN A COPY OF THIS FANTASTIC BOX SET THEN TRY TO FIND A ONE ON EBAY AS I DID.WHEN IT ARRIVED TODAY AND I OPENED IT I WAS TRUELY LOST FOR WORDS.THE CONTENT OF THIS BOX SET IS MIND BLOWING.I AM A AVID LENNON FAN AND THIS HAS NOW MADE A GREAT ADDITION TO MY COLLECTION.ADMMITADLY I PREFER VINYL AS TO CD BUT THIS IS A MUST.SO FIND ONE TODAY.THE CONTENT OF THIS SET WILL BLOW YOU AWAY.I DECIDED TO BID ON THIS AX I DIDNOT KNOW OF IT AND ITS CONTENTS SO I WAS DETERMINED TO WIN IT AND I AM GLAD THAT I DID.I WOULD HAVE PAID A HIGHER PRICE THAN I DID IF I HAD KNOWN.GO AND FIND ONE TODAY AND BUY IT.

Anthologies may not be everybodies cup of tea, but along with the beatles, I enjoyed this.

It gives you an insight into the goings on and little boy games while in the studio as well as some good live tracks, cut from original albums.

I will not go into describing tracks as it is my opinion and not everybody likes my kind of music.

If your a lennon fan you should enjoy this.

Remember this is my opinion, not yours, before purchasing any music, you should at least attempt to listen to the album in question or other material by the artist.

a lot of raw lennon recordings sounds crisp sharp a good referance to who john lennon was is and always will be!

I was very pleased and delighted with the 4 C.D.s I got it for a very good price and have enjoyed listening to it. There were so many classic Lennon recordings that bought back lots of memories. I shall enjoy playing them many times in the future.
The reason I have given Excellent rating is that the c.d.s and packaging are in first class condition, the content fabulous and it is something that I will enjoy. I am glad I won the item.
