originally released in 1979 on blue vinyl uk subs debut album "another kind of blues" was anything but a blues album. it contained 17 tracks of pure new wave punk and is the finest debut of any punk band ever, producing 2 top 30 singles with tomorrows girls and stranglehold and with numerous appearances on top of the pops this catapulted charlie harper and the rest of the gang to a future which has lasted right up untill the present day with the band (just charlie as the sole original) still gigging today. opening track c.i.d gets off to a punktastic start with classic songs such as i live in a car, killer, rockers, lady esquire and disease ensuring that this album doesnt have a bad track amongst it. this digipack re-issue from captain oi from 2007 includes all the b-sides from the singles and album extras, all in all the greatest debut of any band ever..!!! dave burdon (geordie punk ) 10 out of 10
