Aeon Flux (DVD)

The story of Aeon Flux is a very interesting one, slightly similar to that of "I Am Legend" in that a side-effect of a cure for disease wipes out almost everyone on Earth. Those who surive are all located in one particular area.

The difference in "Aeon Flux" is that the stpory is twisted to that of a sole-surviving city which is enclosed by gigantic walls and commanded by a small group of people who convince them that everything is okay and everything outside of the wall is dangerous. There are some who oppose the regime and seek to overrule them - Monicans. One of these Monicans is played by Charlize Theron in spectacluar style, she is adeadly assissin with special powers and abilties.

There is plenty of action in the movie, similar in style a little to Kill Bill and it's dark and futuristic like The Fifth Element. I love the ideas used in the movie as it is set a few hundered years ahead in the future, the gadgets and human development are really cool. It's generally very exciting and there are plenty of nice moves, dramatic scenes and stunts.

Overall a good movie, excellent stoprline and twists within that. Theron is beautiful and highl;y-underrated as in actress in this movie, she portrays the female assassin character spectacularly. Worth a watch definitely.

this item was bought as an xmas present as it was something my daughter had put on her xmas list . She has already seen the film when it was hired and absolutely loved it .

Bought this because I'm a sci/fi fan and this does have a pretty good storyline, will now keep this for my collection and watch quite a few times. This is my first review, so you'll have to forgive me if it's not very informative !
I say this is a good movie and any sci/fi fan who likes futuristic films about after the collapse of civilised society, then this is for them.

LOVED CHARLIE THERON AND HER CHARACTER, FILM AS A WHOLE WAS AN AVERAGE SCI-FI THRILLER FOR ME, GOOD SPECIAL EFFECTS BUT PLOT AND STOTYLINE A RATHER BLAND FOR ME.

Iloved Charlize Theron as the lead. Very good SFX but could be a little hard to follow if you did not about the comic it came from. All in all a good film if you like si-fi films which i do

It was a great movie, that i wanted to watch at the theatre but didnt manage to so i decided to buy the DVD. im a fan of sci-fi so i enjoyed the movie. the movie had no depth to it though.
