My scratch-built Intel P4 computer was built in 2004 by Eazy-Computers (a former and possibly current eBay vendor) but the existing ASRock P4S61 motherboard blew this summer.
Following a little research (conducted on a PC at my local library - where internet use is FREE) I formed the impression that the ASRock P4i65G would be a suitable and compatible replacement.
I am not a computer boffin by any stretch of the imagination. Readers of my other reviews will know I am a VW enthusiast, far better placed underneath the bonnet of a MK1 Golf GTi as opposed to struggling with a PC in bits. However, felt I had gathered sufficient conclusive evidence to support the view that viable replacement had been identified, I ordered on from handyboost via eBay.
The vendor supplied me with a brand new and sealed ASRock package (with support CD-R and all the gubbins) within a matter of days. SUPERB SERVICE!
Installation was relatively straight forward, the configuration of each motherboard was extremely similar, simply a case of gradually disconnecting contacts on the dysfunctional one and connecting them to the appropriate location on the new one. A common sense TIP here; take a comprehensive photographic or video study of the original board with its connections in-situ before disconnecting anything!
The most significant difference between the original and replacement motherboard is that the replacement has two 184 pin SDRAM Memory slots only, instead of the previous three. Either way, the maximum memory capacity for the Intel P4 chipset on this board is 2GB.
So, all in all, a superb motherboard from a very impressive and helpful vendor. Thank you handyboost, you are highly recommended to all!

Great ebay buyMy sons computer suddenly stopped working and wouldn't boot up, i bought a cheap prossessor off ebay and it didn't solve the problem and decided it must be the mobo, i bought a ASROCK/P4/651/DDR+SDR/V/A/L/MO (GE PROHT) Motherboard from ebay seller - Handyboost.
The item arrived very quickly and was very well packaged. I popped it into the tower and connected all the wires and within 20 mins of it arriving the computer was up and running, that was 5 weeks ago and its still running superbly, well, as good as an emachine will run.
Overall i was and still am very pleased with this item.

Absolutely love it....I just got it yesterday and it looks great with different colored slots and very neat finish. It works great plugged in my processor and with the jumper less configuration it started up with out any hitches. Preferred for those willing to upgrade their old pcs or build new ones at economical rates.

One minor disapointment - CD did not have motherboard monitoring software.And the only software I could find that was meant to be compatible gave reedings that were about 5 degrees C too low.
On the plus side
The overclock protection appears to work well.
It has 6+2 usb connections is very good.

Asrock P4i65G MotherboardThese are the boards fitted in the E-Machine 410 computer and should the board fail as it did in my customers case this is a direct replacement and will not need XP reinstalling, just the bios date and time setting.
The E-Machine 410 comes with a pentium 4 and 512mb ram and I found that adding more ram in this case another 512 improved the system greatly. The reason why this board failed initiallt was a huge build up of dust on the cpu fan and ram area so it would be advisable to keep an eye on this to prevent heat related faliures.
As with all Asrock boards they are cheap and cheerful and on the whole pretty reliable.

Easy to install - simple manual unless you start trying to read the Japanese bit - really confusing!!!. A monkey could install one of these - in fact I did.
AsRock motherboards come with printed notes all over them which can really help, especially if you're a novice - others leave you guessing.

ASRock P4i65G Great valueThe ASRock P4i65G is almost idiot proof. Just add CPU and Ram, it does just about everything else itself. Unless you work in N.A.S.A or you are a game freek, it should be good enough for most users.
