OK, so you've got Coldplay X & Y, so why buy this one? Well, it's not exactly the same (despite the rumours) and mine came with a sticky label listing all the NME awards etc. they received for this album. That in itself should be enough. In my opinion, a better buy than Parachutes.

I bought it to replace the one I already have which has got a bad scratch on it and no longer plays properly. I love it because it reminds me of where I used to live and a very special friend who is no longer with us.

Great first album.. love it to bits... one of my favs CD's of all time, some real classics now........

Good classic album . Damaged mine and did not want to pay full price so ebay is ideal !Was not bothered that it was second hand and had very good service as I generally do from ebay sellers.

I only fell in love with Coldplay music recently when Fix You made me decide to buy X&Y. Because it was so excellent I decided to treat myself to A Rush of Blood to the Head and was not disappointed. Clocks is my favourite track, but the whole CD is quality music which doesn't leave my car. I love travelling alone so I can turn that music up to full volume and enjoy every moment of every track. At the moment I just switch between the two CDs. An absolute must for any Coldplay fan.

EVERY TRACK ON THIS ALBUM IS FANTASTIC,I STILL PLAY EVERYDAY WITHOUT FAIL,THE MUSIC IS SO GOOD ITS NEVER OFF MY CD PLAYER,DEFFINATELY A COLDPLAY ALBUM NOT TO BE OVER LOOKED.

This is another great CD from Cold-play, brilliant easy listening with old favourites. I used to have this CD already but it had been damaged and thrown out, as usual a song comes on the radio and that was it i had to have the CD again, If you are a cold-play fan then this CD is definitely on for the collection.

Some good songs here, if you are into the Oasis 'band-wagon' and like this sort of music have a listen.

In general a well rounded album, 'The Scientist', 'In My Place', 'Clocks' are all 5* songs, its just other songs such as 'Amsterdam' which make this album 'Good' and not 'Excellent' for me.

This will probably be Coldplay's last great record- with tracks from X&Y mimicking tracks from Radiohead's Hail To The Thief. The video for Talk Talk looks very much like the video fro There There, only without the Thom Yorke/Lord of The Rings pixie feel to it.

I remember hearing it when it came out and wasn't really into guitar music at the time, but the guitar riff to In My Place is really distincive and hits you as something different. It's pretty strange looking at the music scene now compared to a few years ago- the only decent albums we've had in that time space have been from Coldplay and Feeder, now it's all these students with their trivial beliefs, hair gel/nivia and fancey threads desperatively trying to standout of the crowd.

Most of the tracks have the lighter than air relaxing feel to them that can be found on Parachutes, but just done better and with a more forward vision. I don't think that they've ripped off Radiohead, maybe just been influenced to write as emotive as them

The ideal listening situation for this album is in a white minimalist room drinking ovalitine while your watch O2 bubbles float up on a plsma TV screen.

i am not a really big fan of this kind of music but i was very surprised by this cd, i really like the music and lerects, would highly recommend this cd to people who like different styles of music or someone who wants to try something different.

funny how ya save the best till last. On listening to this album which to me betters the brilliant x ~y . chill with a glass o red and dream.11/10

Ive been a big fan of coldplay since I purchased this CD. This is coldplay at their best. Ive also bought more of their cds but there not as good as this one.

The reason for buying this album was because I loved the song the scientist but I have to say the rest of the songs on the album are equally as good.

I have found now that their music is starting to sound abit the same but not on this CD. Ive had this cd since it was released and I still listen to it now and do not get bored of it.

Parachutes was a brilliant album, and so many bands fail to live up to their first album. Rush of Blood to the Head definately did not dissapoint. However, A Rush of Blood to the Head had to be more educated to fulfill the appetite of the bands growing faithful.

Not many of us knew just how much the boys had grown up. This is truly a work of pure genius. The album opens with Politik, a Pounding like tune that appears to be going nowhere, until it transforms into a glorious finale. In My Place is the supposed lead song of the album, and despite knowing that it is an epic piece of music, it is safe to say that this is not the finest song here. The fourth track, Scientist, is a mind-blowingly powerful track, that builds from the start, and finishes in a fiendishly beautiful manner. The title track is again very powerful, as is the last song, Amsterdam.

I challenge anyone to think of a better album in the last ten years, for accessability, quality and ingenuity. It simpley is the finest album of 2002. If you like music that is full of guitar, piano and pure emotion right from the start, look no further, but don't listen to it if you have just split with a girlfriend; you may get more than a rush of blood to the head!

They did themselves something of a disservice with Parachutes (their prior CD) in that it was so unbelievably good, their next release would be hard pressed to not pale in comparison.
I'll admit to not being as good a critic as most because the first time I listened to this CD I was somewhat dissapointed and it lay on top of my CD player for a few weeks. Can't remember what got it back in rotation at my house, but after a couple of listens the anchor songs (2, 3, and 5) pulled me sufficiently close to the CD that I was able to get collateral exposure to the other gems on this CD (every other song, literally) and soon became a junkie for this masterpiece.

I hope you love it as much as I did. Kudos to these brilliant artists.

my main decision to buy this cd was the single x&y,that coldplay released earlier this year.although x&y is not on this cd,it promted me to buy all their cd's.beginning with A RUSH OF BLOOD TO THE HEAD.Now having listened to this cd,i would really recommend it to anyone that want's to hear music that is true to life itself.the track's remind me of a few moment's in MY life.All good of course.thankyou for reading my review.hope it help's in your decision to buy this cd.
