Having converted most of my old video collection to DVD I was thrilled to find this film gem in digital format. If you watch this in widescreen format ITS WONDERFUL, PLUS THE ADDED BIT OF HAVING SURROUND SOUND.

there isnt much to say, Freddie Cruger is a sick guy who gets burned alive for raping kids. He comes back from hell with the ability to enter your dreams and kill you. And he always tries to kill you in the nastiest ways. if you hold on to him in the dream and wake up he comes out with you and then you can kill him. Freddy will never die!!!

love all horror films and this is the best all 7 of them.there is nothing to dislike about nightmare on elm street its just the best

These are classic films of this genre, I remember seeing them when they were first released and what an impact they made (and stars of some of the cast too!) they still continue to set the benchmark for horror today, wherever you look there's Freddy! the inspiration for me to buy this was Robert Englund himself, me and my son recently met him and he is one of the most nicest sincerest people you could wish to meet, he took time out to talk to us and I got the impression he could have talked all night! and really enjoyed himself, what an honour. if you have not seen these films then your missing out but you will soon wonder why you waited once you have seen them, a top quality release.

I remember watching these films about 15 years ago. They are just like i remember with the eighties music blasting out. They do not make horror films like this no more. I felt i got them for a good price and the quality is a lot better then when we watched them. Go on buy the box set NOW.

I bought this excellent box set of the Freddy Kruger films cause they are true classics when they made horror films worth watching. Had a few parts on VHS but thought i should catch up with the times get them all on DVD and then thought why buy each individual DVD when i could get all 7 films in a boxset. These films are getting on through the times now with the first 1 being bought out in 1984 makes it 24 years old but still one of the best horrors ever made along with the other popular horrors Friday the 13th, Hellraiser they never seem to make them that good in the new horrors, in my opinon these days horrors are more like comedys and we should remember where it all started with the deep down blood squirting classics. What else i liked about these movies was considering its release year 1984 the make up for Freddy was absolute amazing and i will be waiting to check out the new release of A Nightmare On Elm Street which according to www.imdb.com its 2010 but i have a feeling i will much more enjoy the first release but the special effects will most probaly be out of this world.
What i disliked about this movie was absoltely nothing.
Wes Craven must have one nice imagination to write so many diffrent parts to this movie series.

I really enjoyed the first one that I saw very scary!!!I wouldn't like to watch it on my own though. Unfortunately it sticks a little but only briefly, great series though thank you

This was bought for my daughter as a present, she had a few of the Freddie films and wanted the complete set. It was really good quality in really good condition and worth more than the money I paid for it

i have enjoyed this horror for years. i decided to buy it because i wanted to have the full collection of this set of films. The presentation of the box set is very good as well as it has pictures of the main charactor freddy.

I owned all 7 VHS PAL UK videos of the Nightmare on Elm Street series. I came across a 7 disc boxset. I didn't know there was one available. I purchased it not knowing what to expect. The outer box is a good strong box (not easily worn) and the inner box opens like a book with all 7 DVDs inside. It has an eye-catching cover. The films are all excellent with great extras and special features. I don't like watching the extras or using the special features so I can't comment on them. The films tell a story of a man who comes into the dreams of teenagers who live on Elm Street and how they defeat him. As you go through the films you learn how he became who he is, his background, why he kills teenagers and there are a few twists and turns in there as well! It's rated 18 but a fantastic range of films for a dark winters night!

Fantastic, Great collection a real collectors box set, defenately one to keep hold of. In 10-15 years time these DVD box sets will be so hard to get hold of dating back to that eara. It stands up to real a high quality of HORROR film based on todays standard.

the price was good and the posting time was great. im wanted the whole set and this was a great way to buy it..

i love the film dnt get me wrong but when ure watchin the dvds they cut out half way through the film its not just 1 disc either its all of them i bought them for my 19yr old daughter but shes upset that they dnt work properly :( i want to know how do i get them replaced? im pleased to have them all as we only had the 1st 1 b4.

i never got a chance to watch all off them before, so i thought i might aswell buy it and watch them all. love it !!!

I have always been a big fan of ultimate horror badddies ( Halloween, friday 13th ect.) But freddy is the best everytime he is scary, hilarious and has something new everytime!
u have to buy this i have the collection and it is wiked!! I got mine for £30 so u are gettin it cheap mate!

THINK NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET IS ONE OF THE BEST HORRORS OF ITS TIME, I DECIDED TO BUY THE BOX SET SO THAT I COULD HAVE THE FULL COLLECTION IN MY DVD COLLECTION, NOW I AM LOOKING FORWARD TO STAYING IN AND ENJOYING THE NIGHTMARE AGAIN.
