The DVD of "A CRY IN THE DARK" is an exellently made film that tells the epic true story of Lindy and Michael Chamberlain, in such a way that it looses none of the facts of the harrowing time that the family faced during the lose of their daughter, and yet a great degree of respect for the people concurned, was maintained at all times during the film. The film also has a great deal of Australian humour contained within its contents, which I feel helps to lighten the mood of the film, and stops it becoming one of those somber pictures that you feel you could only watch once.
An overall great film with and great cast (typical of most fact based australian films)
I highly recommend this film to all, except the youngest of viewers as some of the language may be found offensive.
Rating from 1 to 10 (1 being extreamly poor, 10 being extreamly good) MY RATING = 9
a true story of a young womans struggle to being a child mum to becoming a country and western singer, well acted film, a must for any one who likes country and western music and a bit of a weepy.
Great film. Saw it once and it's remained in my mind since. A shame this is a true story. Really makes you think about how quick we are to judge others. Pulls on the heart strings.
