What do i love about this cd? Well it reminds me of my ex girlfriend who is sadly no longer with us and who i miss so much. Every song has a meaning and certain songs will make me cry, especially when I turn and see an empty space where her perfect form once was.
Why did I buy it on ebay? Simple answer.. every place I looked either didn't have it, or had never heard of it, or I would have to order..wait and still pay the original price.. When I saw it on ebay for a couple of quid it was rocket science.
For me personally, the cd and lyrics aren't mind blowing classics... but they do evoke emotions and thats what i wanted... especially as the cd is helping me get over such a loss.
Most people will know t.A.T.u for the music video for "All the things she said" for obvious reasons. If you can look over that and focus on the music then this is a good album. "200 km/h In the Wrong Lane" is a great Electro-Pop album, but only if you are into that sort of music.
The lyrics of the songs are impressive at times. The song "Show me love" is brilliantly written and well excecuted. "Stars" is a very emotional and sad song, and the Russian rapping adds to this effect, despite the fact most of us probably will not know what it means. However the choruses in the songs begin to get very samey, most of them using very repetitious catches (normally the name of the song). Compared with the well written verses this can sometimes make the choruses slightly irritating. The music is typically electronic but in no way bad, I particularily enjoyed the music in "All the things she said".
Bad points on the album include that the last three tracks are just extensions/remixes of previous tracks on the album. The two tracks before this are all in Russian, and so without a better understanding of the language I was unable to appreciate these very much. This leaves 8 tracks that aren't remixes or entirely in a different language. Sometime the voices of the two singers can get a little screechy but this is a matter of taste.
I bought this album because I already knew (and enjoyed) the first two songs, and was curious to hear more from them. Overall I am pleased that I bought this album, and it is not my usually preffered genre of music. But if you aren't into electronic pop music I'd say this probably isn't for you.
