I bought this CD just to get "Around and Around" but there are some other terrific tracks on it as well. I still have the original 5 by 5 EP on vinyl and believe that The Stones really encapsulated the spirit on rock and roll in Around and Around.
The clarity of the production is great and if you have never heard of these early tracks it is a great reminder of how a great, tight band should sound. The impression is that they just walked into the studio and played - there is none of the multilayer double tracking or computer generated backing that todays (third rate,) bands use.
Oh, and by the way - "Under the broadwalk" shows off just how good a singer Jagger is plus the excellent and tasteful solo guitar work on this track is worth the cost of the CD alone.
